It’s almost not worth taking sub bar setups, or if you’re going to take them just go light. It’s well enough that you’re still in a relatively experimental phase & are still teasing out your style & the market you’re in, but when there are not clear cut setups, you’re just burring rubber wasting time, energy & capital on them. You knew which setups were the clear cut, solid setups, and you played them, it was the iffy, speculative, not yet at good levels setups that drained your profits from what could have been one of your bigger days. You did well playing the setups that were clear cut. You just need to eliminate the subpar plays, or at the very least, acknowledge them as sub par and size accordingly. It’s absolutely possible to win on these, but it’s not worth risking any substantial size when you know that the probabilities are not as high as your other setups. You should have doubled down even more on your good setups and perhaps played the others, but at half size. Still ended green, but not nearly as green as I could have or should have been.
